SMITTEN KITTEN RESCUE

To adopt from Smitten Kitten Rescue, you must complete the adoption application in full, providing accurate information and agreeing to the terms of our adoption process. Adopters must be at least 18 years of age, and demonstrate the ability to provide a safe, loving, and stable home. This includes proper nutrition, medical care, and enrichment. Additionally, adopters must sign an adoption contract agreeing to return the adoptee to SKR if they are no longer able to provide proper care

All applicants must complete an adoption application and receive approval. Fosters must be a resident of Pocatello, & agree to fulfill future scheduled appointments for remaining vaccines, and or surgeries. The non-refundable adoption fee must be payed in full prior to the release of our rescue into your care. The adoption will not be finalized until all required medical care is complete, and contract is signed.  This ensures our rescues receive the best care while not under our direct care.

Our adoption fee is carefully set to help cover most of the expenses associated with each cat’s basic care. This includes spay/neuter surgery, vaccines, microchipping, & daily needs. However, this fee still falls short when it comes be to covering the full cost of providing the care, and resources our kittens need. In fact, we lose money with every adoption, which is why we rely so heavily on the generosity of donors to continue our mission.  

Our dog adoption fee is designed to offset a portion of the costs involved in preparing each dog for their new home. These expenses include s/n, vaccines, microchipping, and everyday care. This fee does not fully cover the total investment required for medical treatment, supplies, & overall care. In many cases, we operate at a loss with each adoption, which is why donor support is essential to helping us continue saving lives.
