SMITTEN KITTEN RESCUE

To adopt from Smitten Kitten Rescue, you must complete the adoption application in full, providing accurate information and agreeing to the terms of our adoption process. Adopters must be at least 18 years old and demonstrate the ability to provide a safe, loving, and stable home for the kitten, including proper nutrition, medical care, and enrichment. Additionally, adopters must sign an adoption contract agreeing to return the kitten to SKR if they are no longer able to provide proper care. 

Qualifications for foster-to-adopt. You must be a resident of Pocatello and agree to future scheduled dates for vaccinations and spay/neuter. There is an up front, non-refundable $50 fee, which will be applied toward the adoption fee once all required medical care is completed at the signing for adoption. Applicants must complete an adoption application, and all references will be thoroughly checked prior to approval. This ensures our kittens receive the best care while in foster.

Our adoption fee is carefully set to help cover most of the expenses associated with each cat’s care, including spay/neuter surgery, vaccinations, microchipping, and daily needs. However, this fee still falls short when it comes be to covering the full cost of providing the care and resources our kittens need. In fact, we lose money with every adoption, which is why we rely so heavily on the generosity of donors to continue our mission.
